Sampoerna University and Mapua University Collaboration

Our interim head of the Industrial Engineering (IE) Sampoerna University Study Program, Anak Agung Ngurah Perwira Redi, PhD, CSCA, is invited to visit the Mapua University from March 7–9, 2023. The purpose of this visit was to initiate international collaboration between Sampoerna University and Mapua University.

Mapua University is a premier engineering and technological school in the Philippines, founded in 1925 by Don Tomas Mapúa. The university is globally recognized for its excellent academic programs and research initiatives, ranking fourth among Philippine universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WRU) 2023.

During his visit, Dr. Redi met with Mapua University officials and faculty members to discuss potential research initiatives and academic programs. He also gave a sharing session on supply chain management to the Mapua University students.

The visit to Mapua University was a significant step towards strengthening the relationship between the two universities. Both universities recognize the importance of international collaboration in academic research, teaching, and community development. The visit has opened up new opportunities for students and faculty members of both universities to work together and share their expertise.

The collaboration between Sampoerna University and Mapua University promises to bring about positive changes in research, education, and community development. The universities’ commitment to international collaboration will undoubtedly benefit students, faculty members, and the communities they serve.
