Sampoerna University Participate in the 4th ICCED

It is more than a mere place to learn. In accordance with the mission, we encourage all of our faculties and students to seek experience in global events pertaining to their respective academic and interest fields.

Recently, Sampoerna University has sent a delegation of students and lecturers to participate in the 4th International Conference on Computing Engineering and Design. The conference aims to facilitate all scientists, researchers, and research scholars to share their research results on all aspects of Engineering, Computing and Visual Communication Design. It took place on September 6-8, 2018 at Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok, Thailand.

The researchers invited in this conference came from ten (10) countries including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brunei Darussalam.

Our delegation was there to present three papers. The first is Satria Robi Trisnanto’s “Fabrication of Superhydrophobic CuO Coating on Steel Using Electrodeposition Modified with Stearic Acid”. Trisnanto is a student of Applied Physics 2014, while Dr. Gagus Ketut Sunnardianto and Dr. Iwan Setiawan are the lecturers of Sampoerna University. The second is “Designing Android User Interface for University Mobile Library” by Gabriella Sekar Shada (Mobile Communication Technology 2014) and Dr. Media Anugerah Ayu. And the last is “A Recommender System for E-Commerce using Multi-Objective Ranked Bandits Algorithm” by Ahmad Hidayatullah (Mobile Communication Technology 2014) and Dr. Media Anugerah Ayu.

That was not the first experience for Sampoerna University students to participate in an international conference. Previously, Sampoerna University student also participated in International Conference on Computing Engineering and Design 2017 at International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
